Brisbane's terrain splits sharply between the hilly western suburbs - Kenmore, Chapel Hill, The Gap, Bardon - and the flat Bayside strip out at Wynnum, Manly and Redcliffe. Both sides matter because both host large older populations, but they need very different equipment. A scooter that handles a Wynnum foreshore run daily will not cope with a Kenmore driveway and vice versa.
Bayside Brisbane - particularly the Redcliffe Peninsula - has one of the highest concentrations of retirees in south-east Queensland and the flat foreshore paths from Redcliffe through Scarborough are some of the best long, sealed scooter routes in the metro area. On the western side, we lean toward higher-torque 4-wheel scooters and full-size power chairs.
